Users should note that High Criteria does not recommend more than two voice modems be used on any PC, and if there is a requirement for more than 2 telephone lines for leaving dictation, then a Dialogic voice card should be used, instead of voice modems.

High Criteria has tested the Multi-Tech Serial Modem with Phone-In Buddy and has achieved satisfactory results. For high quality results, voice cards from Dialogic should be used with the system.

If you are using a voice modem with Phone-In Buddy and you receive inconsistent results, please try the following:

  1. If you enter digits while you are still listening to a prompt message, you must press the keys slowly, with pause between hitting each key. Otherwise, the second or third digit may be missed by the modem device. This is caused by a peculiarity of the wave modem device. So we suggest that you to hit the keys slowly, with a pause between each key.
  2. Some telephone sets do not produce a clear tone when you hit a key. In this case, the modem device will not recognize the signal. In this case some of digit keys work normal but other keys may fail. To check this, define a UserID and password as one-digit value and try all the 10 various digits. This test will help you determine which digits work properly. If you identify problems using this test, we suggest you use another telephone set.

Prices are subject to change. Please verify pricing with High Criteria, prior to placing an order. All quotes are valid for 30 days from the time that they are issued.
