Liberty Recorder Using the Presonus Firepod

Generally, the Presonus Firepod is the device of choice for portable applications. The picture below illustrates a laptop connected to a Firepod. Although only one microphone is included in the picture, up to 8 microphones may be connected through the Firepod.

The Firepod is 17 and 1/2 inches long and 6 and 1/4 inches wide. It is less than 2 inches deep and weighs less than 6 pounds. The rack mounts that you see in the picture may be removed. The Firepod connects through a standard firewire (IEEE 1394) connection. Either a 4 pin port or a 6 pin port may be used.
